If I could afford to eat here every day I would! I've eaten inside a few times, gotten takeout many times and today I DoorDashed it for the first time and it was just as amazing as always the never miss!
Food was great, fresh, flavorful! Sushi was delicious, rice wasn't chewy and ingredients were fresh. (plenty of variety to choose from) service was close to - server gave off this vibe... "I'm tired. Don't want to be bothered so don't ask questions " But... It was our first time and of course we had questions! restaurant was clean and spacious.
Visited after Christmas towards the end of lunch service. Our waitress was busy and didn't make eye contact unless specifically waiting on our table. Since we needed real forks, yumyum sauce, etc in addition to the usual service of ordering and drink refills, it slowed the pace of the meal. Dishes are delivered directly from the kitchens by different staff. Let's look at the food: I ordered the Crazy Friday Roll with "shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and salmon inside with snow crabmeat, crab stick and crunchy(ies). Sauce: spicy mayo and eel sauce." Sushi was was delicious! We also ordered shrimp tempura, crabmeat wonton, spring roll, Hibachi Beef, Teriyaki Chicken, and vegetables fried rice. These were mostly mehhh. Hibachi not as strong as the sushi here. These are tapas like servings and it's printed on menus additional charge for leftovers. I get this could be an issue, but for first time visitors it might limit your experience if you dislike a dish and take the leftover warning too seriously. This is an old chain bistro like building with many booths centered around an open bar like area/ sushi prep. Apps did arrive first and entree plates soon after. The sushi roll took a little longer, as is expected with this art.
Update: no wait on a Saturday night! They're so fast, focused, and flexible to make it your way. They are now open on Mondays
4-4.5 stars! Okay let me just say, the prices here are amazing for the AYCE! ($25) The servers are young and friendly, and since it wasn't too busy, service was VERY quick! The ambiance is very bright and cute. Can be a date spot or just somewhere to eat with friends (or a group). The sushi was pretty good! I think my only complaint is my deep fried roll wasn't as crispy as I'd hoped and my salmon roll had a slight "fishy" taste usually indicating a lower grade of fish. But it wasn't too much to be overpowering or unpleasant. I also noticed that my Christmas roll (which has salmon and tuna) did NOT have that fishy flavor so it could just be I got a slightly older portion for my salmon roll and a fresher one for the Christmas roll. Ultimately, I enjoyed myself here and will definitely come again!
$16 for lunch is unbeatable!! Pleasantly surprised with this spot. You can choose from tons of apps, salads, entrees, and basic/special rolls. The food came out fairly quickly and they were accommodating to bring extra sauces and sides. Unsure how they make a profit with such good prices but I'll take it.
